@माधवपंडित Should we have पहर (pahar)'s pronunciation (and other -aha- words) as (Delhi Hindi) IPA(key): /peːɦɾ/, [peːʱɾ] or (Delhi Hindi) IPA(key): /peː.ɦeːɾ/? I feel like the second one is better, but in faster/colloquial speech the first one is valid too. —Aryaman (मुझसे बात करो) 21:59, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Aryamanarora: I too think (Delhi Hindi) IPA(key): /peːɦɾ/, [peːʱɾ] has a much higher occurrence. However, looking at the shape of the word पहर, both the vowels on either side of the -h- should be pronounced. The second vowel is dropped when another consonant joins in at the end and becomes (Delhi Hindi) IPA(key): /peːɦɾ/, [peːʱɾ] which is why it's pronounced like that in faster speech... I think we should have both since both are very much in use. -- mādhavpaṇḍit (talk) 01:15, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
