ആലം / അളം

- @Exarchus: Hi, nice find! However, these two words are not exactly alternate forms, instead they can be considered as doublets. So I have marked them both with
{{doublet}}. - The mentioned word അളം (aḷaṁ) is very important in that the eponymous word Malayalam and Keralam are derived from it. According to some sources, second part (-al, meaning abode or place) of some other important words like Sinhala, Nepal and Bengal are also said to have the same root. Thank you! - Another word അലം (alaṁ) is actually an
