ကတ္တူရဳကာ

The form ကတ္တူရဳကာ (kattūrīkā, “musk”) looks to me like a misspelling of katthūrikā (“musk”). The only 'attestation' I have is its entry as a translation of 'musk' entered by @咽頭べさ, 'Dr Intobesa'. (The original entry was labelled as being for 'Mon Pali'; it is now presented as being the form in the Mon variant of Pali.) --RichardW57 (talk) 07:08, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

RFV-failed. Although, RichardW57, it seems strange to me that you created the page with {{rfv|pi}} on it. If you're unsure of a word's existence, and don't have the required citations for it, then you shouldn't have created it in the first place- you could just remove the translation as "unattested" that doesn't require RFV. I was giving the author, who I thought claimed to be a Pali speaker, the opportunity to provide supporting evidence. If the word were in use, it would be a shame to delete it. Editor to editor enquiries just get the the arrogant reply that he is right. --RichardW57 (talk) 19:37, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

@RichardW57 for now it's fine since the entry is deleted, but from next time don't create entries you don't have attestation for and of which you're unsure. @咽頭べさ: Unfortunately, the link itself wouldn't count as a cite to recreate the entry. ကတ္တူရဳကာ (kattūrīkā) doesn't have any hits on google books, see google books:ကတ္တူရဳကာ. Is your link from a published book? If it is, you can cite it as {{cite-book|title=|year=}}, then this entry could be recreated. Svartava2 (talk) 02:58, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

@Svartava2:Do not do a Google search for everything related to Mon vocabulary, there are also some misspellings of Mon vocabulary on Google and Facebook, some dictionary websites also have a lot of misspellings of Mon vocabulary, including English Wiktionary, Thai Wiktionary, Chinese Wiktionary, Japanese Wiktionary, I did my best to find and correct the Mon vocabulary misspellings in English Wiktionary, Thai Wiktionary, Chinese Wiktionary, Japanese Wiktionary, another Mon Japanese Dictionary PDF file contains many Mon vocabulary misspellings. we have two types of Mon writing, these writings are Mon Pali writing and ordinary Mon writing, you can see examples of Old Mon Pali writing and Old ordinary Mon writing from the 6th century AD.
