Learned borrowing

@კვარია: a methodological point. I see you followed Noble's proposal at კჳრიონი (ḳwirioni). But a ghost word accidentally created by a translator monk in Palestine could not have found its way to the dialects of Guria and Kakheti. The peasants could not have known about its existence in some manuscript. Your finding of the word in dialectal dictionaries means the word is real and not a mangling of Greek. That is how I know Acharyan's etymology of սմբուկ (smbuk) is wrong. Vahag (talk) 09:28, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
