Teochew

[edit]

@Justinrleung Should it be this or 亂爐? Based on this article, it might be 亂爐. The dog2 (talk) 02:18, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

@The dog2: The tone doesn't match. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 02:20, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Justinrleung: Just for curiosity, sake is there any dictionary where you go the Jieyang Teochew characters from, or did you hypothesise them based on analogy with the Hokkien characters? The dog2 (talk) 02:33, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@The dog2: My main source for Jieyang is 潮·普双言语词典, but I don't always follow it for characters (since it sometimes uses unconventional characters). I usually check a few other sources to see how it's usually written and hopefully land on something that could be used for both Hokkien and Teochew if they're cognate. For this word in particular though, the dictionary writes it as 暖炉, so there's pretty much no doubt about it. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 02:41, 24 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
