explanation of the riddle[edit]

@Backinstadiums Now that I think about it, it's kind of a "mind-bender" type joke rather than a riddle. This character (淶) is rarely used but is just frequent enough that a 'smart' person might possibly be expected to have some awareness of the character. So when you ask the person what this character is/ how this character is pronounced, they might get confused or embarrassed and be unsure how to respond. Then, in that confused state of mind, you ask them a similarly worded question, but this time, the character is a character everyone knows: 法. The hope is that the person that the joke is being played on will still be so confused from trying to think about 淶 that they will momentarily be unable to recognize 法. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 08:29, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
