Relation between 甭 and 甮

Ministry of Education of ROC listed 甮 as a variant of 甭 per Zhong Hua Zi Hai (中华字海). In the dict, it says “甮 同‘甭’。字见《简明吴方言词典》。” (甮, same as “甭”. The character is seen in Brief Wu Dialect Dictionary.)

In 《简明吴方言词典》, it says “甮 绍兴[fuŋ51] 副词。勿用二字的合音。不用。嘦心宽，～屋宽。（《越谚》） 也作⿰勿用. (甮 Shaoxing[fuŋ51] Adverb. The phonetic fusion of the two characters 勿用. Needn't. As long as the heart is wide, the house needn't to be wide. (Yue Yan) Also be as ⿰勿用.) 甭 isn't mentioned.
