[edit]@Suzukaze-c – Is this term primarily used by fans to describe a trope in fan fiction? Then the "fandom slang" label might be the appropriate choice. If it's a term used to describe a trope in commercially-released Chinese fiction, then the "Chinese fiction" label might be a better option. Compare to Category:en:Japanese fiction. There's inevitably going to be some crossover in labelling and categorization. Some tropes feature in both fanworks and commercially-released fiction. In any case, "Internet fiction" is a bit ambiguous, seeing as it could apply to everything from pro stories published in online magazines, to fanfic on Archive of Our Own, to creepypastas posted on 4chan. - No idea, but judging from the sentences, it seems to be a beloved turn of phrase, and not a name for a trope. Thanks for the pointers; maybe someone who knows more about "Chinese serial novels" can refer to this note in the future. —Suzukaze-c (talk) 06:50, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
