Etymology
[edit]According to Nişanyan, the Arabic word is borrowed brom Aramaic בחרנא (bəḥrānā, “test, turning point of disease progression, crisis”) which should be derived from בְּחַר (bəḥar, “judging, testing”) which is a semantic calque of Ancient Greek κρίσις (krísis). The moon etymology is too far-stretched? --Anylai (talk) 07:23, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
