HIV status I can see maybe being a set phrase, but there are all kinds of tests that don't need entries. — [Ric Laurent]22:06, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For most conditions people would say "I had some lab tests done" but for HIV people make a point of saying I got my HIV test, similar to the use of pap smear.Gtroy 22:20, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's not relevant to our CFI. — [Ric Laurent]22:47, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why is it used so much in journalism?like in these articles?
Because it's a common sum of parts, like fried egg and tree branch and women's clothing. — [Ric Laurent]11:35, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. It's just a test for HIV, nothing more. ---> Tooironic 22:02, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, any test of this nature can be known by the name of the thing being tested for. --Mglovesfun (talk) 22:07, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Delete per above, not worthy of an entry. Caladon 22:10, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then why is smear test and pap smear?
Because a smear test is not a test of a smear, nor is a Pap smear a smear of a pap. Duh. ---> Tooironic 13:26, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
