I would speculate, on the basis of the fuckery observable with the variants of Kaohsiung, that 'Kangshung' would be consistent with a garbled (corrupted) version of 康雄 (Kāngxióng) Wade-Giles romanization: Kʻang1-hsiung2. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 21:51, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
