Rfv-sense: Initialism (linguistics) Merriam-Webster. Even here, MediaWiki is more widely spoken of as the MW initialism than the other dictionary is. So I doubt anyone using MW to refer to Merriam-Webster. It doesn't gain any prominence as an entry/initialism in our dictionary over something like the w:New Oxford American Dictionary for example.
