Wade-Giles Fossils

[edit]

Mamenchisaurus & Chingkankousaurus are two examples of fossils with Wade-Giles names. These two have spelling problems. I would be interested to see what kind of spelling issues are common (like with Talk:Kuomingtang) or in sum all the words with Wade in geology & paleontology & science generally. Here are some Wade or similar type words in science: Amynthas hsiyinensis, Chiayusaurus, Chilantaisaurus, Chingkankousaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Peishansaurus, Shantungosaurus, Tsintaosaurus from Category:Translingual terms derived from Mandarin. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 16:36, 22 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
