@Suzukaze-c I don't have much experience with Wiktionary. I'm curious why you think "such statements would get messy with multiple languages". This is the English-language Wiktionary. Frankly it seems odd to me that this page exists here at all. I can't imagine the circumstance where someone looks up 'nigger' in an English-language dictionary because they want to know how the Germans use it. Yet if I type 'Nigger' (capital N) into Wiktionary's search field I'm sent directly to this page, not even to a disambiguation page (if those exist in Wiktionary. I'm much more familiar with Wikipedia). Again, I'm a novice and just want to learn more about how things work.

PS - I don't even know if this is the proper way to ask you my question. Please correct me if it's not.Niccast (talk) 20:49, 4 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wiktionary is written in English, but includes and defines words from all languages, not just English words. Equinox 20:56, 4 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
