Is this really an alternative form / synonym of Osmanlıcılık?

I'm not sure that Osmanlılık is an alternative form or synonym of Osmanlıcılık. tr:Osmanlılık defines the former as an özel ad (“proper noun?”) meaning Osmanlı olma durumu (“the state of being Ottoman?”), whereas tr:Osmanlıcılık defines the latter as an ad (“noun?”) meaning Osmanlılık düşüncesini benimseyen ve yayan düşünce akımı (“the current of thought that adopts and spreads the idea of Ottomanism?”). (Glosses are questioned because they come courtesy of a mixture of my poor understanding of Turkish + Google Translate.) The fact that tr:Osmanlıcılık uses Osmanlılık in its definition of Osmanlıcılık militates against their synonymy. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 06:51, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

@SemperBlotto: OK. Thanks for the response. I am hesitant to make changes before I understand one thing, however: By what criteria does Turkish distinguish common and proper nouns? I ask because definienda with the definientia “the state of being Ottoman” and “the current of thought that adopts and spreads the idea of Ottomanism” would both be called common nouns in English, whereas the Vikisözlük calls the former a proper noun and the latter a common noun (if anything, English would be more likely to assign commonness and properness to the diametrical opposite of Turkish in these two cases). I have in mind the fact that, whereas Greek (“the Greek language”) is an English proper noun, its translation, grec, is a French common noun. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 12:27, 23 November 2016 (UTC)
