Not in the OED. Not really much on Google books. SemperBlotto 21:06, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

  • Google adequator|adequators (BooksGroupsScholarNews Archive): 1730(14,3,2,0). But only 2.5 b.g.c. hits are in English (the rest mostly Latin), and each is using it in a different sense. The one unique Scholar hit is the reference in the entry. Groups hits are a wordlist, a typo, and a use that appears to mean "something that makes something else adequate", which matches one of the Books hits. IMO all three senses fail. -- Visviva 18:28, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
