this is an old word, unlikely to be found using Google Books. it's in A New English Dictionary on Historical Principles. mentions to it can be found using a Google Book search "atend", "kindle" ; but as Books often changes which viewable pages show, the pages containing this entry and any citations it might have are not currently there, as they were when the Wikt entry was created.
