@Fytcha You wrote that "automatic differentiation" is "not SOP; AD is a precise technical term that is much more specific than just any automatically performed differentiation". @Equinox: Not sure I understand you (and/or that quote) correctly, but that would just be another (possibly non-idiomatic) sense of automatic differentiation. I merely contend that computing sense of automatic differentiation is idiomatic (see the definition I've provided there). — Fytcha T | L | C 15:56, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
