- @Vininn126: Well, WSJP has it as the first sense, and it's not obvious to me that the protein sense would be the most common one. One could argue either way I think. Also, I know you dislike historical ordering but having such a modern meaning (the protein one I mean) right after an etymology section where the first thing one sees is a Proto-Slavic etymon looks very weird, I'd expect something more "traditional"; that's where the "egg white" comes into play. - @PUC Recognizability should indeed take prevalence in most situations (not all), but I suppose you are right the biochemistry sense would be second in recognizability, as well as historicalness. Vininn126 (talk) 20:32, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
