bookmaker's pocket[edit]

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) has "bookmaker's pocket, a breast-pocket made inside the waistcoat, for notes of large amount", but I can't seem to attest this from Google Books, where I only find the literal sense. Equinox 19:09, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
