Etymology[edit]

The Online Etymology Dictionary is pretty spotty, so if someone could look this up at the real OED, it'd be nice. Probably unrelated, but interesting if the word ultimately does derive from Celtic roots, is Welsh bragod (English bragget) being a High Medieval liquor combo of mead and ale. (Welsh Medieval Law) Apparently ultimately derived from Old Welsh brac, "malt" not given here. LlywelynII (talk) 21:00, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
