If I want to provide an example to a definition, it sets the number of the following definition as 1. Here's an example:
- to make sure that one's young grow up to adulthood
- to keep animals and have them reproduce
- to yield or result in
- Disaster breeds famine.
- to propagate or grow eg. he's a tulip breeder.
