Sicilian. Was marked for speedy deletion by Scorpios90 with the comment "This entry is mispelled. Sicilian Wiki projects are often written by hybrid native speakers." This is a reference to w:scn:Camiddu (there appears to be a discussion about the naming of that article on its talk page, but as it's in Sicilian I can't understand the details). The word lists I consulted don't have a word for "camel" at all. This, that and the other (talk) 09:13, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Actually this does occur in dictionaries of Sicilian (sometimes with extra diacritics), e.g., [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. Also in plenty of works that aren't dictionaries. These might be uses, but someone should check: [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11]. 70.172.194.25 21:45, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
The form definitely exists. Arguably it should be lemmatized elsewhere, and this treated as alt form. Scorpios himself admitted its existence in the alts of his new page jamiḍḍu, though with the underdot (which is a choice purely of lemmatization, and rarely ever attestable, and could really benefit from being discussed). Translating what more or less happened on the Wikipedia talk page "moved from cammellu [very Italianized, see cammello] to camiddu because so it is in Pasqualino's dictionary". For the Pasqualino dict (probably also mentioned by IP.70 above, though I can't at the moment click on those links):
  • Pasqualino (c. 1790) “camiddu”, in Vocabolario siciliano etimologico, italiano e latino (in Italian), volume 1, page 234.
