FWIW, could be proscribed:

    Avoid the syllable cysts. This is a matter of preventative medicine. Better yet, it's a matter of preventive medicine, since “preventative” contains a cyst, that extra “at” syllable. So it is with “combatative” instead of “combative.

OTOH, here French combative is translated as English combatative:
