Consistent and consistency describe two different things. Consistent has to do with uniformity while consistency has more to do with haptics. Constancy comes closer to the use of consistency here.Noleja (talk) 09:47, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

While the haptic definition is more common, and gaining ground, the definition derived from constant has been around for a while, and is well-entrenched in fields such as philosophy and mathematics.
