Which part defines the cloud type, and which part is just added description? DAVilla 07:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The cumulo- (cumulus) part is the descriptor, and means exhibiting great vertical development. The nimbus part is the basic cloud type. —Stephen 19:03, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
