As a separate matter from the disagreement about italics, it seems to be right to put Cuphead in the definition, since it doesn't seem like a Cuphead fan would refer to someone's My Little Pony pony self-insert as a "cupsona", it is only for a Cuphead self-insert. Not sure whether Cuphead should *also* be in the label or not. At ponysona the pony-ness is in both the label and the def, but depending on whether fans of other franchises would also use these terms — a Cuphead fan seeing a specific MLP fan pony and going "oh, that's so-and-so's ponysona" or a MLP fan seeing a cup "that's so-and-so's cupsona" — the general "fandom slang" label may indeed be the better one. There is fandom slang which seems to be used exclusively within a single fandom. MLP slang may very well be a prime example. In my experience terms like facehoof and clopfic don't have much currency outside MLP fandom. Not even in fannish spaces where one might expect a certain level of crossover interest e.g. furries or otherkin. I try to construct entries to make restrictions in usage clear, whether that's via context labels, or through the definition itself. Not sure why I opted for the former route when I initially created this entry. But you're right that moving "Cuphead" to the definition is an improvement in terms of clarity.
