First couple pages of Google News and Google Books searches did not yield any credible candidates. Has anyone ever heard this expression used? -- Ghost of WikiPedant 05:36, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Haven't heard it, but would it mean (deprecated template usage) dead + (deprecated template usage) first, patterned after dead last, which also seems SoP to me. DCDuring TALK 01:37, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think (deprecated template usage) dead last merits an entry, as do most technically-SOP compound terms which use a relatively obscure sense of one or more of the component words. Anyhow, getting back to (deprecated template usage) dead first, after some deeper digging I've added more quotations and I think it is now adequately cited. -- Ghost of WikiPedant 04:28, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
What's obscure here? dead#Adverb? "Dead" appears as adverb more than 4400 times in COCA? I'm afraid you are dead wrong about this. DCDuring TALK 09:59, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

RFV passed, but of course, DCDuring (talkcontribs), you are welcome to RFD it. (As is anyone else, for that matter.) —RuakhTALK 01:48, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
