in things vs. of people[edit]
In the best usage, one refers to the defects in things and the defects of people. Why is it so though? --Backinstadiums (talk) 11:47, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- I suppose because a physical object has a defect you can spot, in a single place (there is a defect halfway down), but in a person, you cannot localise a character failing. Equinox ◑ 11:48, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
