Cantor's diagonalisation argument does not relate to matrices, as far as I know. So is there another sense of this word, something like "arranging values in a diagonal pattern"? Equinox 14:58, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, "diagonalisation" is often used to refer to Cantor's argument, e.g..
The more general "arranging values in a diagonal pattern" sense seems like it could plausibly exist, but it's hard to find uses that are independent of the linear algebra and Cantor senses. 70.172.194.25 19:26, 5 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
