Isn't etch a verb? Like engraving?

Definition needs fixing[edit]

"To make a lasting impression." 9/11 example. It's not right because we're saying "9/11 is etched into my mind"; you can't say "9/11 is made a lasting impression into my mind". Some problem here. How to rewrite? Equinox 15:38, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
