Needs work[edit]

This needs a rewrite. It actually refers to the overall process of "creating" food, starting with growing plants or raising livestock, and ending with something edible on someone's plate. Compare bean-to-bar. Equinox 04:48, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Note: it also refers to an *auditable* process; that is, at any point in the food production process you [should be/are] able to discover each previously accomplished step/stage, where that happened, and who did it (and, in theory, additional metadata like the batch.) - Amgine/ t·e 04:53, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
