This entry was generously bestowed upon us by an IP editor 17 years ago and has lain unchanged ever since. I can only find a single cite in GBooks (Citations:ferior), where a white writer is trying to imitate (or more accurately, mock) the speech of Black New Yorkers of the early 19th century - and it doesn't even support the sense in the entry, since it means "inferior". This, that and the other (talk) 04:03, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- These Usenet uses support the definition of 'ferior' as 'superior' in the context of their respective threads: [1], [2], [3] (note that the latter two are from the same newsgroup, and so may not be independent). This one may also be using the term as 'superior', although I'd like someone to check it since I can't make heads or tails of the subsequent clause: [4]. 70.172.194.25 08:55, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
