A condom?[edit]
Moved here from WT:REE; I don't know who originally posted it:
- It's often said on the internet that fez was 1970s slang (or gay slang) for a condom, making Steely Dan's line "never gonna do it without the fez on" a double entendre. I have seen no reliable evidence. The city of Condom in France used to make fezes so there are spurius colocations.
