Etymology wrong?[edit]

Is it not from fuck (i.e. sexual intercourse, suggesting someone couldn't control their urges) rather than fucked up? Equinox ◑ 02:30, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The amount of sex a couple has does not increase their likelihood of conceiving multiples. Higher-order multiples are relatively rare, and more likely to be the product of fertility treatment, especially IVF. The implication of this term is that these multiple births are unnatural/"playing God"/etc. WordyAndNerdy (talk) 09:34, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
