Hello, & Beware, "glauque" is now a "false-friend" in french[edit]

you won't hear it anymore used as a color ("glauque sea" - "glauque-eyed Athena" ...) , we now say "bleu-vert" for that hue. But "glauque" is now very often used in school-yards, meaning "something creating a lot of uneasiness" . For ex. : "Teacher asked me about the Meiji era, I thought he wanted to hear about dinosaurs, it was so glauque..." - "My big brother brought me into a St-Germain "cave" , it was like a burrow, and on the stage there were two nude women wrestling in a mud cask, it was so glauque...".
