Uni Leipzig[edit]

@Akonada, Fay Freak: [1] is also a "keine Ergebnisse" for me. — Fytcha T | L | C 12:00, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

I get various "Beispiele", having tried multiple browsers. Maybe check what the Korpus is set to? (Button on the top right). Mine is set to "News 2021". – Jberkel 12:12, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
For me it depends on the browser, once (Firefox without javascript and ads) "keine Ergebnisse" and having corpus "Newscrawl 2011" as default, once (Chrome with that stuff) 13 examples and having corpus "News 2021". Maybe the corpus should be specified in the URL like corpora.uni-leipzig.de/de/res?corpusId=deu_news_2021&word=hawkish? --Akonada (talk) 12:25, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Setting the corpus did it for me. I can't reproduce the issue with the different browsers; once the corpus is set in the URL, I get the exact same results everywhere. I think we should set the corpus in the template so that everybody gets the same results. The issue is however that only one corpus can be specified, so it's possible that, for whichever corpus we may choose, some of our current entries will point to no-result pages. I've just written them an email about it and asked them if they could implement combining the results from different corpora like this: https://corpora.uni-leipzig.de/de/res?corpusId=deu_typical-mixed_2018|deu_news_2020&word=hawkish. I will notify you about whether they have accepted or rejected my proposal. After that, we can take further steps to improve {{R:UniLeipzig}}. — Fytcha T | L | C 12:40, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Akonada: Firefox without javascript and without exception for a public university is a ridiculous enough setting, and this I say as someone who blocks third-party scripts by default and manages an exception list on uBlock Origin / AdNauseam. Knowingly using such idiosyncratic settings, you can not make any judgment that a website shows nothing. Our links do not make any promise that their targets are readable without Javascript – a lot of journalistic websites aren’t. Fay Freak (talk) 18:25, 13 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
