Historical sense[edit]
Not just "a little man", but something specifically associated (I believe) with old theories such as preformationism and alchemy. Perhaps worth a note of some kind. Equinox ◑ 19:40, 30 May 2015 (UTC)

I had a virtual flip through Google Books to see whether there is an adjective "homunculous". It seems not, but it is a moderately common misspelling for the noun. Equinox ◑ 19:47, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
