• Jaan, in Punjabi, sexual drive, strength/power courage and valor. A term commonly associated with the Indo-Aryan Jatt of the subcontinent.
• Jaan, in Hindi/Urdu, a word meaning life or loved one; by that way, also a term of affection meaning "darling"
