Missing sense?

Chambers 1908 has lace-bark tree, defined as "a lofty West Indies tree, the inner bark like coarse lace". The West Indies doesn't sound much like New Zealand. Are we missing something? Equinox 20:03, 12 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
