- I added the etymology. Most English uses are mentions or italicised, but there is probably enough to pass RFV, e.g. [1] [2] [3]. A simpler gloss would be just "date palm fiber".
- I doubt the alternative form lief exists outside mentions though, so I am listing that under a separate heading. This, that and the other (talk) 02:22, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
