Which mirror sense?
[edit]This shares two of the 3 senses of (deprecated template usage) mirror (reflective surface, figurative way of seeing something but not the computing sense). Simply defining it as "a mirror" doesn't let the reader know which senses apply. Fugyoo 08:56, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

Possible missing obsolete slang sense: chamber pot
[edit]John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873):
- Looking-glass, a facetious synonym for a pot de chambre. This is very old. The term arose from the fact that in ancient times this utensil was the object of very frequent examination by the medical fraternity. There is an old story of a lady who called at an inn, and called for a looking-glass to arrange her hair, and who was presented with a chamber utensil.
