Species mistake?[edit]

Why do the etymology and the definition refer to two different species? Equinox ◑ 19:10, 31 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

because the word originated as a name for the species Mandrillus leucophaeus, but is now a name for the species Mandrillus sphinx. --83.216.90.91 01:54, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
