Obsolete gambling sense?[edit]

John Camden Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) also defines this as "to clean out; often applied to one utterly ruining an adversary in gambling", and mentions muck-snipe. Equinox 12:05, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
