Verb?

[edit]

I've seen this used as a verb. I reckon that's sufficient to justify expanding this entry, but I'ld love to hear a second opinion. Thmazing (talk) 16:32, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Thmazing: "I've seen it" is anecdotal. I can find no "ouroborosing" nor "ouroborosed" in Google Books. Where are the citations, where is the evidence? Equinox 03:56, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation discrepancies?

[edit]

The audio file doesn't match either of the IPA guides, but is something in between. It sounds more like /uːˈrɒbərəs/. I don't know which needs to change, but there's definitely a discrepancy. Also, Merriam-Webster shows the pronunciation as ˌyu̇r-ō-ˈbȯr-əs which would look like /ˌjuːroʊˈbɔrəs/ in IPA. And the related word "ouroboric" on Wiktionary just has one pronunciation guide, with a third way to pronounce the beginning, /ɔɹəˈbɔɹɪk/. Basically, I'm confused, and I'd love for someone with more experience than me to look into this. AwesomenessJunkie (talk) 20:53, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
