Rfv-sense: "Characterized by, or addicted to, ratiocination". Quotes would be nice, as this isn't in the Webster's that I checked, but it's supposed to be in there. --EncycloPetey 03:27, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

- I think the use of the word in this work qualifies. (Use the "Result 3 of 8; view previous; view next; view all" buttons to see the various times it's used.) It seems to mean "characterized by logical arguments" there rather than merely "rational" (our other sense for rationcinative). But I seek a second opinion. [1] seems to use the word in this way, though.—msh210℠ 16:39, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- "Ratiocinative" means "pertaining to or characterized by ratiocination, discursive thinking, or inferential knowledge". An acceptable antonym is "intuitive". The rfv'd sense should go and sense1 should be modified to include what I've just said. -- WikiPedant 06:13, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
