Transitive?[edit]

Personally I've never seen this used transitively. I think a citation for that usage may be warranted. -192.251.14.70 17:02, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The transitive label was added in this edit, but in the quotation provided, reigned looks like a misspelling for reined. I think it should be removed. @Yurivict --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 17:07, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is ambitransitive. I added a citation, many more citations can be found. I don't think there's a misspelling there. Yurivict (talk) 00:14, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Yurivict: Yes, thank you. Isn't it much rarer than the intransitive use though? It sounds weird and nonstandard. --Per utramque cavernam (talk) 09:18, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, transitive use is much more rare, but wiktionary doesn't seem to have means to express this. I suggest you discuss this in the tea room. Yurivict (talk) 09:53, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
