Not seeing much of this in English. Equinox 19:02, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cited, I think, in that the cite I added on 26 July seems to fulfill the "Appearance in a refereed academic journal" ConFI. (Sorry for not commenting at the time; I think I was planning to add two other cites, just to be on the safe side, and never got around to it. FWIW, there are at least a few dozen other English cites on b.g.c., such as [1] and [2] and [3], if anyone's in a quotation-adding mood.) —RuakhTALK 03:41, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, Ruakh. Striking as passed.—msh210 17:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

According to the Jackson, J.A., editor, 1997, Glossary of Geology, American Geological Institute, 769 p. the definition of sackung is "A ridge-parallel trough formed by surficial creep, believed in some cases to be activated by earthquake shaking. Etymol: German versacken, "to sink" or "to give way". Pl: sackungs." — This unsigned comment was added by Augeologist (talkcontribs) at 15:24, 15 February 2010 (UTC).Reply
