Pronunciation[edit]
I looked this up in the OED and it gives only (UK, /'sɪmɪtə/) as a pronunciation. I suspect this is the "correct" or "accepted" pronunciation of the word in UK English (pronounced as though an adjective in -ar). Although I have definitely heard the word pronounced as (UK, /'sɪmɪtɑː(ɹ)/) by British speakers, I don't have a source for this. Moogsi (talk) 01:14, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
