disappointment or excitement

[edit]

"Disappointment or excitement" - strange, since these are opposites. It's not clear from the given citations what the phrase actually means. Equinox 01:11, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

That's how Cecil "Shuckey Duckey" Armstrong defines it. The usexes he provides in his act are clearer: "'Shucky ducky' is this phrase that I created means disappointment or excitement. For example, instead of cursing when you stomp your toe, you say 'shucky ducky'. Now if you see a fine girl or a guy you like, you say 'awwww, shuck-ay duck-ay!'".
I've added a couple sentences more context to the main entry cites, to help elucidate "shucky ducky"'s meaning in each. ~ Röbin Liönheart (talk) 00:22, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Spelling of the comedian's name in the etymology

[edit]

This needs checking. The WP article is titled "Shuckey Duckey" but then spells his name as "Shucky Ducky" in the body text. Equinox 21:58, 27 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
